DONNA (formerly Donna Boyd)

During a career spanning 3 continents and more than 3 decades, with a history of performances ranging from cabaret to theatre, and a successful Country Music recording career with singles charting in Australia, England and Europe, DONNA has sung her way into the hearts of audiences, young and old.

This multi-award winning Australian songwriter and performer combines an exceptional voice, and a superior audience engagement with insightful song interpretation.

Born and raised in Sydney, DONNA honed her stagecraft on the Sydney Club Circuit, as well as touring with Aussie entertainment legends like Kamahl and The Four Kinsmen, before leaving her homeland to record in New York and tour in America with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, and more recently in the United Kingdom with Frank Ifield. Her recordings have had major chart success both in Australia and in Europe.

Along the way, DONNA created the Australian Independent Artists Development Organisation (AIADO), a charity giving opportunities to Aussie kids in regional areas that also granted a Business Award to Indie Artists, and has been a director on the board of various Music Festivals.

DONNA produced and hosted a weekly Country Music radio show, and has been involved in judging many music competitions over the last 10 years.

As well as traveling extensively in her role as Outback NSW Ambassador, DONNA’s song, ‘Take Time’ was licensed for advertising by Outback NSW Tourism, while The Royal Flying Doctor Service licensed her acoustic version of Amazing Grace.

DONNA’s songs and quirky stories will entertain you – her voice will leave you spellbound.
